3D turntable animation software, feature by feature
MeshShot is a small, focused editor for turning a 3D model into a finished shot. Here is all of it. Or open the app and try it on your own model.
Import
Bring in what you already have.
Formats
GLB and glTF with full PBR materials. OBJ, select the
.mtl and textures alongside it to keep its colours. FBX, including rigged meshes.
Any scale, any orientation
A model authored at 0.05 units and one at 200 units both light and shadow correctly. FBX files that land on their side are stood up with a ±90° nudge per axis.
Model parts
Files often ship with backdrops and reference planes. Uncheck them, hidden parts drop out of framing and out of every export, not just the preview.
SVG logos to 3D
Drop an SVG and every filled shape is extruded in its own colour, holes included. Depth and bevel stay adjustable, and each shape can be recoloured on its own.
3D text
Type one or more lines and get solid 3D lettering that updates as you type. Four built-in fonts, or upload any
.ttf or .otf of your own.
Nothing uploads
The file is read from your disk by the browser. There is no server to send it to, so file size is limited by your machine rather than an upload cap.
Animate
Eighteen camera moves, every one adjustable.
Clips, not a list
Each camera move is a clip on a real time ruler. Drag to reorder, drag an edge to retime, drag the ruler to scrub. Every clip shows its own settings on its face, so a glance tells you what the sequence does.
Space plays. Arrow keys step a frame. Ctrl+Z undoes.
Views
Front, Side, 3/4 and Top, re-based to whatever you calibrate as "front", so presets follow your model rather than its axes.
Turns
Quarter, half, full turn and a slow drift. Rotation is adjustable from 15° to 1440°, in either direction, with a matching degrees-per-second speed control.
Moves
Zoom in and out, punch in, arc up and down, spiral in and out. Zoom is stated as magnification, 200% fills twice the frame.
Idle
Sway, bob and hold. Sway and bob return exactly where they started, so they loop seamlessly.
Eight one-click sequences build a whole move at once: 360 Loop, Hero Reveal, Product Spin, Dramatic Orbit, Four Sides, Spiral Approach, Gentle Sway and Inspection.
Look
Lighting, material and background.
Lighting
Studio, Soft and Dramatic presets, brightness, plus a key light you can steer around the model in angle and height. The shadow follows it.
Material
Matte, Clay, Glossy, Metallic and Chrome applied over an imported model's own materials, with an optional colour override and a one-click reset back to the original.
Background
Studio, solid colour, two-colour gradient, your own image, or transparent, with swatches and gradient presets.
Export
Seven ways out.

* Video resolution is capped by your browser and GPU, not by MeshShot. The Video panel checks what your machine supports and tells you before you render, see export troubleshooting. Compare the tiers on pricing.
Hand real 3D to a developer
A video is a picture of your animation. The code export is the animation, the model, your exact camera moves as JSON, and a player with no build step. Drop it on a site and it's interactive, resizes to any container, and can be driven from scroll instead of a clock.
Your developer can re-time the sequence by editing the JSON. They never need to come back to you for a re-render. The player is built on Three.js, the standard WebGL library.
