Convert an FBX model to an animated GIF
Drop the .fbx into MeshShot, pick a 360-degree camera move and export a GIF. The file stays on your computer. GIF is a Pro export.
- Runs in your browser
- Files never uploaded
- Free to start
How to do it
- Open the MeshShot web app and drop in the
.fbx. - Frame the model and choose a background.
- Apply a turntable sequence from the presets.
- Export as GIF.
FBX is common in game and animation pipelines, but a browser cannot play it directly and most chat tools cannot open it. A GIF or MP4 is something you can send to anyone who needs to see the model without installing software.
Good to know: Very heavy FBX files can be slow in any browser. If it struggles, reduce the polygon count in your 3D tool first.
Questions
Does it keep my textures?
Embedded textures are used. Linked textures may need to be embedded or exported with the model.
Which other formats work?
GLB, glTF and OBJ, plus SVG logos and typed 3D text.
