How to convert FBX to GLB

Import the FBX into MeshShot and use the 3D model download to save it as a GLB. This is a Pro feature, and the file stays on your computer.

  • Runs in your browser
  • Files never uploaded
  • Free to start

How to do it

  1. Open the MeshShot web app and drop in your .fbx.
  2. Check the model and its textures look right.
  3. Open the Export panel and choose the 3D model download, then pick GLB.

A GLB is smaller and easier to share than an FBX, because the model and textures live in one file. That makes it the better format for websites, AR and handing a model to a client.

Good to know: If the FBX has linked textures that are missing, embed them or export the FBX again with the textures included.

Questions

Is it free?

Model download is part of Pro. Viewing and stills are free.

Do animations survive?

Do not rely on it. MeshShot is built for stills and camera animation, so check your result in a viewer.
