How to make a GIF from a 3D model

Import the model into MeshShot, apply a turntable camera move and export a GIF. It works with GLB, glTF, OBJ and FBX files and needs no install.

  • Runs in your browser
  • Files never uploaded
  • Free to start

How to do it

  1. Open the MeshShot web app and import your model.
  2. Choose a background, or leave it transparent.
  3. Apply a camera sequence.
  4. Export as GIF.

The loop looks best when it ends exactly where it starts. Presets handle this for you, so you do not need to match the first and last frame by hand.

Good to know: Keep the canvas small for chat and email. A 1:1 or 4:3 frame gives a lighter file than 16:9.
