What is a GLB file?

A GLB is the binary form of glTF, a 3D format that packs the model, textures and materials into one file. It is the easiest 3D format to share and the one MeshShot recommends.

  • Runs in your browser
  • Files never uploaded
  • Free to start

How to do it

  1. Open the MeshShot web app.
  2. Drag the .glb onto the canvas. No other files are needed.
  3. Light it, add a camera move and export a still, GIF or video.

glTF was designed as a "JPEG for 3D": compact and quick to load on the web. The .gltf version keeps textures as separate files; the .glb version bundles everything, so nothing goes missing when you send it to someone.

Good to know: Most 3D tools, including Blender, can export GLB directly, and many stores of free models offer it as a download.
