What is an OBJ file?
OBJ is a simple, widely supported 3D format that stores only the shape. Colours come from a separate .mtl file and image textures. Without them the model shows as grey.

How to do it
- Open the MeshShot web app.
- Select the
.obj,.mtland the texture images together and drop them in. - Check the colours, then export.
OBJ is a plain-text format from the 1980s, so almost every 3D tool can read and write it. Its weakness is that the model is split across several files that must stay together.
Good to know: Keep the OBJ, MTL and textures in one folder and do not rename them, since the MTL refers to the image files by name.
Questions
Why is my OBJ grey?
The MTL or the textures were not loaded with it.
Should I use GLB instead?
If your tool can export it, yes. It is one file.
